PhD Dissertation Topic: The impact of outsourcing ground handling services on the airline-passenger relationship and customer satisfaction. Applications in the context of airports in tourist destinations characterized by high seasonality.
Evangelos Kilipiris is a PhD candidate at the Department of Tourism Economics and Management at the University of the Aegean. His research focuses on the impact of outsourcing ground handling services on the travel experience and on the airline–passenger relationship.
He holds two Master’s degrees (MSc): one in Air Transport Management from the University of Surrey (UK) and another in Tourism and Hospitality Management from the International Hellenic University. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki.
He has professional experience in the air transport sector, having worked in positions related to Passenger and Ground Operations, Air Logistics, Revenue Management, Flight Scheduling, and Airline Network Planning. At the same time, he has taught at the Metropolitan College and the International Hellenic University and has participated as a researcher in the ENRISST+ project for the development of air transport in the Aegean.
His research interests include revenue management, airport privatization, synergies between air transport and tourism, and the impact of outsourcing airline ground handling services on the airline–passenger relationship.
