The mission of the TTIDD Laboratory is to support the Greek and International Community with innovative and practical knowledge related to Tourism Transport, Infrastructure and Destination Development, through research and education conducted at the Department of Economics and Tourism Management of the University of the Aegean, as well as through collaborations with national and international organizations.

The vision of the Laboratory is to contribute to the improvement of visitors’ travel experiences by promoting new scientific knowledge and innovative research, and by supporting the development of relevant policies. Additionally, TTIDD Laboratory contributes by providing and developing tools for the analysis of the interaction between tourism and transport, ensuring sustainable and innovative mobility solutions for tourist destinations. To this end, the Laboratory works closely with Research Institutes within and outside Greece, with businesses in the transport and tourism sectors, with policymakers, and with local communities.
