As a scholar (IKY), she completed a dissertation in Competition Law (2000-2003) for which she was awarded her doctoral degree \u201c<em>summa cum laude\u201d<\/em> from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit\u00e4t M\u00fcnchen. She holds an LL.M. (Civil Law) and an LL.B. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 1999, she has been a member of the Athens Bar Association [admitted with an \u201cExcellent\u201d grade (10), ranked 1st]. She has a broad practice in the areas of civil, commercial, corporate and competition law, public procurement, and public administration. In September 2024, she assumed the role of the Legal Counsel to the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security and of the External Associate and Researcher at TTIDD<sub>LAB, <\/sub>University of the Aegean. She has an extensive experience as a Legal Advisor for several years at the Athens Concert Hall, the Ministry of Culture, various organizations and companies, and has been a member of numerous legislative committees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her research interests, recent publications, and presentations at conferences and scientific events cover topics such as ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), Cybersecurity, Climate Change, and Sustainable Development, particularly in the shipping sector (indicative topics include the European Green Deal, COP-28 Agreement, &#8220;FIT for 55,&#8221; EU Taxonomy, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, CSDD, REPowerEU, FuelEUMaritime).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. jur. Sofia Papadimitriou is a Scientific Associate at the Hellenic Association of Investors and Internet (SED) and a member of the Institute of Governance, Management, and Leadership at ICC Hellas as well as of the Association on Artificial Intelligence &#8220;AI Catalyst&#8221;. Additionally, she is the coordinator of the Justice Cluster and a member of the Environment &#8211; Energy Cluster of ICC Hellas Women.
